Project Overview
From 2014-2019, we worked with Children’s Hospital to brainstorm both their Spring and Fall gala themes. We created a visual system for them that allows their event branding to evolve year after year without having to start from scratch and spend unnecessary dollars. This aesthetic establishment also provides consistency and awareness. The Children’s Hospital’s mission is especially dear to us as there are many moms at Cheree Berry Paper and Design. A win-win project for us!

Building a Long-Lasting Logo
During our first year working on Children’s Fall Gala, we designed the play date event logo to be reminiscent of a favorite childhood toy—building blocks! Every year, we used this logo as the foundation of the design, but we made visual tweaks representing the year or theme of the special event.
The Invitation Establishes the Event Identity
The initial invitation slid into a die-cut wrap of geometric shapes that revealed the logo when removed. This logo remained the foundation for future Play Date themes, from Circus to Summer Camp to Birthday Party to High School Reunion. After several years of a great partnership, we provided St. Louis Children’s Hospital with templates and an invitation style guide that created cohesion across all events, cut costs, and further streamlined the design system.
Tabletops Spring Luncheon:
Sharing meals, laughter and friendship, all for a good cause.
Putting the “Fun” in “Fundraiser”
A childlike creativity and exuberance underscores Children’s Spring Gala, Table Tops, a luncheon that features tablescapes artfully designed by local businesses.
Designing Our Table
With a mission true to our heart, we’re sponsors too!
Sippin’ champagne at noon ain’t bad!
Colorful Creativity
Color everywhere! Attendees mixed, mingled and munched on lunch at tables dressed to the nines in decorations inspired by the children’s book, The Day The Crayons Quit.
A Colorful Tablescape
Our team was even fortunate enough to design a table at the event! We created a colorful and fresh tablescape based on the song “Apples and Bananas,” complete with wooden fruit crates full of “locally grown” paper produce. Our CEO and creative director Cheree Berry, a themed outfit enthusiast, donned a tutti frutti topper that would have made Carmen Miranda sing.
