Liz and Jackson

I DO IN ATX

Upon relocating to Austin, Liz and Jackson instantly resonated with its laid-back charm and vibrant energy. Getting married the same weekend as the iconic Austin City Limits music festival? Pure kismet! Cheree Berry Paper & Design was thrilled to get the gig mashing up their unlikely styles into a cohesive medley of wedding visuals as quirky-cool as the couple and the city they now called home.

KEEP AUSTIN WHIMSICAL

We applied an LJ monogram sparingly throughout the wedding stationery, but the transitional autumnal color palette and sentimental symbolism served as the branding headliners. Dogwood flowers nodding to the bride’s North Carolina roots, guitars riffing on the groom’s musicality and the state silhouette centering the celebration in Texas dotted the major touchpoints with deeper meaning.

Of course, we can’t forget the couple’s doodle Mickey – our unofficial mascot for the weekend – who made multiple cameos, from crossing the bridge over Lady Bird Lake in the concert poster vignette to the carrying his own festival flag on cocktail glasses.

GETTING GUESTS AMPED UP

We kept it classic for L+J’s save the date with a card and envelope that quietly introduced the color palette through its seasonally coded velvet liner and contrasting piped edge. With the wedding overlapping the festival weekend, it was imperative to call attention to accommodations upfront. A die-cut acoustic guitar – “inscribed” with the couple’s initials – pulled at heartstrings while guaranteeing essential information was heard loud and clear.

POSTER CHILD FOR CREATIVITY

We tailored the perfect set for Liz and Jackson, balancing traditional formalities with more playful, unexpected material. An elegant letterpress invitation with platinum foil stamping and a deep rose beveled edge recalled our save the date design before seamlessly transitioning to a high-production-value piece: the quarter fold events insert, the container for the full lineup of individual cards that doubled as a commemorative poster.

LOVE FEST

Respecting the dignity of the occasion, our designs for the wedding ceremony and reception were absent of the ACL influence. Instead, we relied on a continuation of the color story and symbolic sense of place – from iconographic bar accoutrements to a mural-inspired escort installation that we loved so much – to maintain visual harmony.

IT’S A PARKERPALOOZA

Parkerpalooza closed out the big day and brought the house down! To add to the immersive festival vibe, we put a stylized wordmark on repeat for a catchy after-party identity. Heels off, light-up cowboy hats on, hands in the air – this finale was as electric as Zilker Park after dark.
