TEAM CBP BRIDE SAYS “I DO”

It’s an especially joyous occasion when Cheree Berry Paper & Design comes together to create and celebrate a milestone occasion for one of our own. When roles reversed and account manager Grace assumed the title of bride-to-be, she knew she needn’t look any further than her home studio to bring her and Vincent’s wedding stationery vision to life. Drawing on our deep familiarity of her style, we delivered a medley of distinct aesthetics that were the total picture of Grace: poised, elegant and intentional.

FEELS LIKE SUMMER

Our primary branding and ancillary event identities embraced Grace’s penchant for quiet luxury, prioritizing materiality, form and craftsmanship. Linen accents and blind debossing added textural interest to the light summer sensibility inherent in the airy watercolors and softened shades of green and pink.

Forgoing a hero logomark didn’t mean a lack of ownership. Personalization and symbolism abounded at every turn, from the chinoiserie illustration we modeled after the venue’s mural to the couple’s initials we blended into each event’s design. Do you see the G+V carved into the tree? (Bonus points if you can you spot all the initial instances!).

A SAVE THE DATE THAT REALLY POPS!

Guests couldn’t get enough of our booklet-style save the date for G+V. The die-cut scalloped linen cover was just a taste of the kernels of creativity within a charming iconographic watercolor pattern, a save the date card mounted on a historic bird’s eye view of St. Louis, a his-and-hers favorite spots feature and the pièce de resistance – the popcorn pull-out, a nod to their wedding venue and its signature snack.

ONLINE ON POINT

We applied the same visual hallmarks introduced in the printed save – scalloped edges, watercolor illustrations, strategic pops of pink, three levels of type and more – to G+V’s digital hub, ensuring a user experience as enjoyable as it was informative.

REVEL IN THE DETAILS

The epitome of summer sophistication, our printed invitation suite offered layers of dreamy motifs and textures, beginning with the fully blind debossed inner envelope. We reprised the scalloped linen in the form of a die-cut wrap, using its generous interior surface area as the canvas for our chinoiserie illustration.

A green beveled edge and blind debossed backer gave our traditional letterpress invitation a fresh twist. But guests uncovered even more playful surprises as they went into “The Details, the petite envelope that housed individual event inserts in a variety of thematic shapes and sizes.

Trusting our team to design my wedding stationery was a no-brainer. I felt like the luckiest bride in the world to have the most creative and thoughtful design team at my fingertips! As someone who has “seen it all” in the world of stationery, it was important to me that our wedding stationery felt unique and personal to us. The team took my vision and delivered a beautiful balance of clever copywriting, innovative printing methods and classic bespoke artwork. Stationery truly set the tone for our wedding day, and our guest experience would not have been the same without it. The power of paper!

GARDEN-TO-TABLE

Our block print floral pattern for G+V’s rehearsal dinner – which stemmed from the subtle graphic detail on invite’s corresponding insert card brought the garden ambiance to the table via cocktail napkins and hardbound menus.

THAT’S AMORE!

We put the “marry” in marinara with our bright tomato red color palette and patterning for G+V’s Italian-seasoned welcome party, a fitting them given the groom’s heritage. Together with our matchbook event insert and delicious doodles inspired by the pizzeria, guests felt as though they were sipping a spritz in Sicily. And holy cannoli did the CBP account management team dress the part!

LOW-KEY, HIGH-TOUCH

From the Sicilian wine tasting during cocktail hour to the doggone cutest escort installation featuring their beloved bulldog Rosie, the couple’s personalities were on full display across the big day. Guests found these individualized details even in the more unsuspecting places, such as the folio-style menus, where Grace and Vincent had tucked handwritten notes of appreciation for every single one of their 175 guests.

NIGHT IS YOUNG AND THE MUSIC’S HIGH

The country club gave way to discotheque club as Bar Taormina opened its doors, where drinks and sweet treats were on Rosie! Saturday night and the lights were low, but the music and vibes were high till the very end.
