Cotswolds, Countryside, Classic & Curious
An Idyllic Introduction
Caroline and Mark’s destination wedding in the British countryside was positively pastoral! The historic, stately and surreal Anyhoe Park venue shepherded the design, including a custom illustration modeled after the English estate that made a statement throughout the suite.
Estate-Inspired Suite
A juxtaposition of textures elevated the couple’s tonal save the date and captured the unique feel of the Cotswolds country house. The blind heat stamped venue illustration bedecked the rich rust-colored velvet cover, while a pebble leather enveloper liner and vintage stamps enhanced the classic letterpress presentation. The piece also previewed the whimsy of the Anyhoe Park by incorporating one of its most iconic images – Gerald the flying giraffe – on the envelope flap.
Discreet design details subtly displayed the bride’s fondness for sheep.
Counting Sheep
One sheep hid within the woodcut-style Anyhoe illustration, while a second stood on the front of the insert card, whose clever copy about counting sheep alluded to the accommodation information on the opposite side. A convenient Cotswolds map, complete with custom icons and groups of grazing sheep, helped partygoers navigate the lush landscape.
An Oxfordshire Adventure
The hand-drawn, venue-inspired monogram and crest carried the event’s visual identity through the party favors. Caroline and Mark greeted guests with branded goodies and a trifold welcome note that unveiled the weekend itinerary and suggested activities.
