Lila and Sawyer’s B’nai Mitzvah

A World-Class Celebration

To bring Lila and Sawyer’s b’nai mitzvah to life, Cheree Berry Paper & Design started with building a hotel group and name-brand party property, a theme inspired by this globetrotting family and its travel agent father. Our enterprising play on their last name – Merlin – precipitated a luxury event identity that previewed the 5-star celebration ahead.

Our conceptual communication plan that followed, which included door hanger save the dates, an official franchise website and letterhead-style invitations complete with a paper plane, promoted The Merlinn in the months and weeks ahead of its grand opening.

Checking in at The Merlinn

After careful planning with our friends at Kate + Company, the directors of operations (aka Mom and Dad), general managers (aka Lila and Sawyer) and their valued guests checked in for their one-night-only stay at The Merlinn. A concierge – outfitted in a crisp corporate branded uniform, of course! – distributed personal itinerary folders at the front desk escort display and directed partygoers to the series of destinations that awaited them. Then, the fun really took off…

The Trip of a Lifetime

We helped take guests around the world in six hours, transporting them to France one minute and Florida the next. The Merlinn Paris was beaucoup adorable with berets and classic café bites from Lilarée. Meanwhile, The Merlinn South Beach brought the heat and the chill with airbrushed sweats, surfboard stickers and spicy snacks from Sawyer’s Salsa Shack.

Destination: Fun!

But the whirlwind world tour wasn’t over yet! After dinner, kids used their keycards to get in the door of the penthouse after party at The Merlinn New York. From the technicolor dancefloor and coordinating branded popcorn boxes to the disco ball dancers and dessert maître d’s, the final stop of the night radiated that electric, Times Square-level energy. At the end of the evening, guests departed with a souvenir swag bag and joyful memories to last a lifetime.
