Like the Portland Head Light perched on Cape Elizabeth’s rocky shores, both the Maine landscape and the bride’s family’s beloved home there stood as our design beacons for Darby and Nick’s wedding. Layered, eclectic, well-appointed and deeply personal, our visual collection served as an extension of their impeccably decorated coastline cottage, conveying a profound sense of place and the couple’s connection to it.

Arts and Craft Aesthetic

A palette of burgundy, chartreuse, azure blue and stone grey told a dramatized color story of the coastal vista at the onset of autumn. Paired with varied textures, hand-rendered imagery and an assortment of botanical and geometric motifs, our branding upheld the cottage's Arts and Crafts heritage: an expression of tactile warmth, quality workmanship and harmony between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Setting the Maine Stage

Our printed save thee date visually introduced the couple's "happy place" that would play host to their happy occasion. A custom toile patterns featuring natural Maine sights - oysters and striper fish, wooden lobster crates, towering evergreens, lighthouses perched atop rugged cliffside - hinted at an event embedded in the landscape. And while the tonal letterpress treatment gave the softest impression of being etched into stone, the envelope liner lent an energetic dose of color and alluded to the cottage's Morris & Co. wallpapered interior.

A Well-Appointed Invitation

Textural blind embossed, engraved and letterpress pieces, accents of velvet and linen, a delicate tissue sachet of event inserts – opening our wedding invitation for Darby and Nick felt like discovering a trove of ephemeral treasures lovingly collected across the years.

Working with Cheree Berry Paper was truly a highlight of my entire wedding planning process! I would look forward to every single meeting. The Ultimate Dinner Party

After surrounding Darby and Nick as they exchanged vows in the backyard overlooking the Atlantic, guests plucked our vegetable medley escort cards from the garden trellis and preceded to the reception.

Easton Events, along with Rosandich Studios, masterfully imagined and realized a glass tent that felt like an extension of the home. Filled with wood beams, antique oriental rugs, Rosandich's bespoke chinoiserie wallpaper (first glimpsed in the invitation suite!), pendant shades and candlelight, the celebration glowed with comfort, convivality and thoughtful creativity.
